About effiStaff Inc.
effiStaff Inc. develops staffing efficiency software. Its flagship product ensures that a manager has everything he/she needs to make informed decisions regarding staffing issues.
By Shift:
No more surprises regarding staffing and salary variances when your “Department Operations Report” is received at the end of the pay period and/or at the end of the month. With effiStaff you are able to evaluate your census, staffing requirements and associated salary expense four (4) times per day (i.e. 7am–3pm, 3pm–7pm, 7pm–11pm and 11pm–7am). Consequently, the issue with the midnight census not accurately reflecting the activity level on the Nursing Unit is a thing of the past. And because you collect data for these strategic time periods, you have the ability to review the appropriateness of 8 Hour Schedules vs 12 Hour Schedules. You can review WkHr, WkHr / Stat, WkSal$, WkSal$ / Stat, etc. for each shift.
By Day:
By totaling the shift data, effiStaff allows the user to compare with national benchmarks for WkHr / Stat, WkSal$ / Stat, etc. The graphs make it easy for you to realize how often you are performing at budget, 25%tile, 50%tile, and the 75%tile. This helps you to set goals for how to become a consistently, high performer.
By Job:
Not only can you evaluate WkHr and WkSal$ by shift and by day, you can also evaluate these data by job title (i.e. Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, RN, LPN, CNA, Specialty Tech, Unit Coordinator, etc.). The fact is, effiStaff offers twenty-five user-defined job titles. This gives you an opportunity to evaluate the financial impact of using hospital-based nurses vs external agency nurses. And you don’t have to wait for your department operations report to know the effect, you can know it before the shift starts with effiStaff. Because you have performance data by job title, you can also evaluate skill mix and compare it with national benchmark data.
Other:
There is a “What If?” function in effiStaff that allows you to explore staffing combinations in a “test” environment. This function gives you an opportunity to create new stafffing patterns without putting your live data at risk.
